RTD FasTracks West Corridor Under Construction

Rail Systems Solutions (RSS) is proud to announce its participation with Balfour Beatty Rail, Inc., as part of the award-winning team chosen to execute the Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) FasTrack West Corridor Project. RSS will design, furnish, install and place into service the Train Control System and Highway Crossing Warning Systems for this $26.5M Light Rail Transit (LRT) extension.

The West Corridor is approximately 12 miles (nine miles double track, three miles single track), extending from Denver Union Station to Jefferson County through Denver, Lakewood, and Golden. Twelve new stations and 18 bridges are included on this project which also includes three tunnels, 10 interlockings, and 21 grade crossings.

Final design is complete and light rail construction activities have begun. The line is scheduled to open to the public in 2013.
